What is in each project description?
Project descriptions include major research findings, duration of
the project, sample size, target population, and method of analysis. In
addition, contact information for the AAHSA member contact person and the
Principal investigator are also provided.
How can this database help me?
The results of your search can help you
-
Learn how and what types of research is conducted in a provider setting.
-
Contact organizations that are conducting studies.
-
Exchange ideas about research topics, findings, and potential intervention
strategies.
-
Share research instruments and tools.
-
Identify partnership opportunities with universities, health systems, local
research groups and long-term care and housing providers.
How can I get more information about a project in the database?
Each project in the database has a designated contact person at
the AAHSA member organization. Some projects also provide contact information
for the Principal investigator who may not be employed by the AAHSA member
organization. You can find this contact information in the search results.
What type of content is appropriate?
IFAS seeks project descriptions for research that AAHSA members
are conducting themselves or in collaboration with research institutes,
universities, or other local groups.
Can I create more than one entry?
Yes, AAHSA members can create multiple entries. Each entry should
be limited to a single project.
I created a submission, but don't see it on the website yet.
All submissions are held for review before they are made
available to the publicly viewable area of the website. An IFAS staff member
will physically review your post prior to making is viewable by others.
What if my project does not fall into an existing research area?
For now please choose the research area that your project best
fits into. We will consider adding research areas on an ongoing basis. You can
suggest another category via the website. If approved, we will add it to the
site.
