Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes

Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes
The Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes Campaign is reinvigorating efforts to improve the quality of care and quality of life for those living in America's nursing homes.

The campaign is led by an unprecedented coalition of long-term care providers, caregivers, medical and quality improvement experts, government agencies, foundations and consumers. AAHSA is a founder of the campaign.

Advancing Excellence builds, complements and strengthens the work of existing quality initiatives including Quality First, the Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI), and the culture change movement.

Nursing Homes Focus on Goals
The campaign features four clinical quality goals and four organizational improvement goals.

Local Area Networks for Excellence (LANEs)
Coalitions in each of the 50 states are a source of information for nursing homes, consumers and nursing home staff.

How Nursing Homes can Register and Access Resource Materials
On-line registration is available for nursing homes in addition to a wealth of information to support each campaign goal.

AAHSA's Larry Minnix Shows Support for the Campaign
Minnix explains the importance of the campaign for AAHSA and its nursing home members.

Advancing Excellence Shows Progress
A wealth of data show that nursing homes registered for the campaign are demonstrating progress on the campaign goals.
