New Aging Conference

An international conference on Aging and Architecture

The University of Pennsylvania School of Design, Architizer LLC, and Matthias Hollwich are poised to challenge the way architecture engages with an aging society through the New Aging International Conference on Aging and Architecture, Oct. 1-2, 2010.

Held at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, the New Aging Conference delivers visionary and pragmatic insights to adapt to and facilitate the aging process.

We are aging. It is human nature. Yet the way we age and where we age is something that we can control when city planners, architects, politicians, insurers, and the person who is aging work together to achieve a common goal. The New Aging Conference leads the way to address aging by focusing on progressive advances in architecture, city planning, and culture.

The conference is a uniquely strategic participatory initiative that is supported by hands-on workshops, meeting sessions, and open houses at collaborating institutions. Leaders within and outside of the design profession will provide the professional and visionary underpinning of the conference. Confirmed speakers include:
