CCRC
Continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) offer an innovative and independent lifestyle that is different from other housing and care options for older people. Through long-term contracts that provide for housing, services and nursing care, usually in one location, the CCRC continues to meet residents' needs in a familiar setting as they grow older.

Permanent Repeal of Imputed Interest Taxation for CCRC Residents
Posted: Dec. 26, 2006
With passage of the Tax Relief and Health Care Act Amendments, Congress has ended taxation of interest imputed to refundable entrance fees paid by CCRC residents. AAHSA, our members and their residents have advocated for this tax relief for several years, and we congratulate everyone who helped to make this success possible. The new law repeals imputed interest taxation for tax years after Dec. 31, 2005.
